Little Windows is acollection of mini oil paintings that use color and scale to express solitude, and sometimes loneliness, even in a community setting. The viewer has a unique perspective of these emotions, as if peeking in on them through Little Windows. The images are miniature buildings I scratch built from paper, onto handmade landscapes.
The inspiration for this series comes from an unexpected gift I received from my neighbors - three boxes full of old photo frames made of wood and glass. Many pieces of that gift are incorporated into this series.
